Your /motif-powered template comes with a number of powerful parameters that will let you customize it to suit your needs. To the left you will see all of the available parameters as of this writing.
- Primary Theme - Allows you to define which theme you'd like to be the Primary (default) for your site. Click here for more information about Setting the Primary Theme.
- Primary Mobile Theme - Allows you to define which theme you'd like displayed when your site is accessed with a mobile browser.
- DOCTYPE - /motif will load a DOCTYPE into your template automatically. This parameter allows you to decide which DOCTYPE to load. Click here for more information about Available DOCTYPES.
- Theme Parameters - This is where you can assign a particular Theme to a Joomla! menu item. This effectively allows you to assign a different theme to every page. Click here for more informatoin about Theme Menu Assignment.
- Cache Time in Secs - Sets the number of seconds for /motif to cache your CSS and JavaScript files. Click here for more information about Cache and Gzipping CSS and JS files.
- Compress CSS - Choose whether or not you want /motif to gzip your CSS files. Gzipping can greatly reduce the load time for your visitors. Click here for more information about Cache and Gzipping CSS and JS files.
- Compress JavaScript - Choose whether or not you want /motif to gzip your JavaScript files. Gzipping can greatly reduce the load time for your visitors, even more so than gzipping CSS files as JavaScript files tend to be much larger. - Enable Plugins - This allows plugins access to your /motif-powered template to perform any number of actions based on which /motif plugins you are using. Click here for more information on /motif Plugins.
- Debug Mode - Select whether or not the template should display in debug mode. If the template is in debug mode, you can add "?debug=1" to the URL to see where various files are loaded from your theme. Example: http://www.yoursite.com/index.php?debug=1
- Enable tp=1 functionality - Select whether or not you would like to allow adding "?tp=1" to URLs to display your template's module positions. Example: http://www.yoursite.com/index.php?tp=1
- Enable theme=THEME_NAME functionality - This allows you to override your visible theme manually via the URL. To change the theme, add "&theme=THEME_NAME". Replace "THEME_NAME" with the name of the theme you'd like to view. Note: "THEME_NAME" should be the same as the name of the folder of your theme in the /themes folder. For example, if you have a theme called "awesome" located in /themes/awesome, the URL you would use to see it would be: http://www.yoursite.com/index.php&theme=awesome
